HISTORY

In 2004, Mr. Sudath Wijesinghe, a visionary entrepreneur and an industry veteran launched a local inspection company under the name of SB Consortium Pvt Ltd. It was unique in the fact that it was 100% Sri Lankan owned. Within a very short period of time SBC was competing very successfully against multinationals in the field and soon became the market leader in the industry for Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
By 2009 SBC had developed a number of working agreements with various companies located in Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam and in view of the expanding international connections; Mr. Wijesinghe launched SBC Asia Pvt Ltd to adequately reflect the international nature of the group.
